Sherry Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 eggs .
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz) box instant vanilla pudding .
  • Cake .
  • 1 tbsp butter flavoring .
  • 1/2 tsp butter flavoring .
  • Glaze .
  • 1 (18 1/4 oz) package yellow cake mix .
  • 1/4 c sugar .
  • 2 tsps cinnamon .
  • 2 tbsps milk .
  • Sugar mixture .
  • 1 1/4 c confectioners' sugar .
  • 1 c sherry wine .
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla .
  • 2 tsps nutmeg .
  • 1/2 c butter-flavored oil (or vegetable oil)

Directions
  • Step #1 Grease & flour 10-inch bundt pan.
  • Step #2 In large mixing bowl, pudding mix, sherry, eggs, mix cake mix, cooking oil, the 1 T butter flavoring & the nutmeg.
  • Step #3 Blend at lowish speed till mixd.
  • Step #4 Beat at medium speed for 2 mins.
  • Step #5 Pour 1/3 c batter into bundt pan.
  • Step #6 Combine the sugar & cinnamon.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top half of the sugar & cinnamon mixture over batter in pan.
  • Step #8 Add another 1/3 of the cake batter in pan.
  • Step #9 Sprinkle top with remaining sugar & cinnamon mixture.
  • Step #10 Top with remaining batter.
  • Step #11 Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 mins.
  • Step #12 Let cake cool in pan for about 15 mins before placing on cake plate.
  • Step #13 For glaze, the vanilla, mix together the confectioners' sugar, milk & butter flavoring until smooth.
  • Step #14 Spoon over warm cake.
