  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 c white sugar
  • 1 1/8 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c sliced walnuts
  • 1/2 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c semisweet chocolate chips

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Cream shortening & sugar.
  • Step #3 Add egg & vanilla.
  • Step #4 Mix in dry ingredients then add chocolate chips & nuts.
  • Step #5 Drop on cookie sheets & bake for 8 mins.
