Ingredients
3 tbsps pine nuts .
1 pinch of freshly grated nutmeg .
1 (11 oz) package wild mushroom ravioli .
salt .
1/2 c unsalted butter .
1/4 tsp black pepper .
1/4 c basil leaves .
1/3 c freshly grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°.
Step #2 Place the pine nuts on a heavy baking sheet, toast until fragrant.
Step #3 about 7 mins.
Step #4 Let cool.
Step #5 (I toast in a dry fry pan on the stove top until golden brown).
Step #6 Bring a large pot of water to a boil, salt water.
Step #7 Add the ravioli & boil until until they are cooked through, stirring every once in awhile, about 5 mins, drain.
Step #8 (Once ravioli rises to the top of the boiling water, give it another couple of mins it is done).
Step #9 In a large heavy frying pan melt the butter over medium high heat until pale golden brown, about 4 mins.
Step #10 Add the basil leaves & cook this until crisp.
Step #11 Sprinkle top with 1/2 teas.
Step #12 salt & 1/2 teas.
Step #13 black pepper.
Step #14 Add the cooked ravioli to the butter mixture, toss in pine nuts, sprinkle in basil leaves & top this with some grated parm-reggiano.
Step #15 Place on plates or in a covered casserole dish for serving.
Step #16 Serve with grated cheese at the table.
