Italian Beef Macaroni Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese, grated .
  • 2 tbsps tomato puree .
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed .
  • 1 beef stock cube .
  • 1/2 tsp basil .
  • 1 tbsp oil .
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano .
  • 14 oz tomatoes, tinned .
  • 2 onions, sliced .
  • 6 oz macaroni, cooked & drained .
  • 1 lb ground beef .
  • 2 tsps paprika

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oil in saucepan.
  • Step #2 Add the onions & garlic.
  • Step #3 Cook slowly for 5 mins or until soft.
  • Step #4 Add beef to the pan, stirring until it looses the pinkness.
  • Step #5 Stir in the oregano, tomato puree, tomatoes with the juice, basil, paprika & stock cube.
  • Step #6 Simmer for about 10 mins, then toss in a couple of handfuls of the cheese & stir.
  • Step #7 Mix in the cooked macaroni, stir well & place this in pie or casserole dish.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top remaining cheese on top & bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 20 mins.
  • Step #9 Serve with salads & breads.
