Ingredients
4 oz cheddar cheese, grated .
2 tbsps tomato puree .
1 garlic clove, crushed .
1 beef stock cube .
1/2 tsp basil .
1 tbsp oil .
1/2 tsp dried oregano .
14 oz tomatoes, tinned .
2 onions, sliced .
6 oz macaroni, cooked & drained .
1 lb ground beef .
2 tsps paprika
Directions
Step #1 Heat oil in saucepan.
Step #2 Add the onions & garlic.
Step #3 Cook slowly for 5 mins or until soft.
Step #4 Add beef to the pan, stirring until it looses the pinkness.
Step #5 Stir in the oregano, tomato puree, tomatoes with the juice, basil, paprika & stock cube.
Step #6 Simmer for about 10 mins, then toss in a couple of handfuls of the cheese & stir.
Step #7 Mix in the cooked macaroni, stir well & place this in pie or casserole dish.
Step #8 Sprinkle top remaining cheese on top & bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 20 mins.
Step #9 Serve with salads & breads.
