Chicken Chow Mein Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c cold water
  • 2 c sliced celery
  • 1/2 c green beans
  • 3 c cooked, cubed chicken meat
  • 1 (15 oz) can baby corn
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsps cornstarch
  • 2 1/2 c chicken broth
  • 2 tsps soy sauce
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 c sliced mushrooms

Directions
  • Step #1 In a wok or skillet, melt butter or margarine over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Add mushrooms, celery, onions & garlic powder; cook this until the onions have wilted.
  • Step #3 Add chicken broth & baby corn.
  • Step #4 Continue cooking until celery is cooked but still crisp.
  • Step #5 Stir in the green beans or bean sprouts & soy sauce.
  • Step #6 Mix cornstarch & water together in a small bowl.
  • Step #7 Slowly stir in theto vegetables.
  • Step #8 Sauce should start to thicken a little.
  • Step #9 Mix in chicken, & heat through.
