Step #2 Add water, cover, & cook slowly until rhubarb is soft.
Step #3 Mix together 1/2 c of the sugar & 1 tbsp of the cornstarch & stir in theto the rhubarb; stir constantly over low heat/flame until sauce is thickened, then remove this from heat.
Step #4 Mix remaining cornstarch & stir in theto the rhubarb; stir constantly over low heat/flame until sauce is thickened, then remove this from heat.
Step #5 Mix remaining cornstrarch sugar & salt in saucepan, add milk & cook over direct heat with constant stirring, until mixture boils & thickens.
Step #6 Slowly stir in theto the beaten eggs & cook over hot water, stirring constantly for 2 mins.
Step #7 When both custard & rhubarb sauce are cooled, stir the rhubarb into the custard.
