Soy Simmered Turkey Legs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c raisins .
  • 1 medium onion, finely sliced .
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, seeded & sliced .
  • 4 medium sized turkey drumsticks (4lbs total) .
  • 2 tbsps cold water .
  • 1/4 c soy sauce .
  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced .
  • 1 small dried hot red chili pepper .
  • 1/2 c dry sherry .
  • 2 tbsps cornstarch, mixed with

Directions
  • Step #1 In a slow cooker (aka crockpot), garlic, mix onion, bell pepper, chili, & raisins.
  • Step #2 Rinse turkey, pat dry & arrange on onion mixture.
  • Step #3 Pour in sherry & soy sauce.
  • Step #4 Cover up & cook on low for 8 hrs until turkey pulls away from bones.
  • Step #5 Lift turkey to a warm serving dish, & keep warm.
  • Step #6 Blend in cornstarch mixture.
  • Step #7 Increase heat to high for 10 mins, stirring 2 or 3 times until sauce is thickened.
  • Step #8 Pour sauce over turkey.
