Warren's (best You've Ever Had) Meat Loaf Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp pepper (prefer pepper mill) .
  • 1/4 c parmesan-romano cheese mix .
  • 2 tsps sugar .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1 1/2 large red onions or vidalia onions .
  • 1 tbsp garlic (puree) .
  • 1/2 bell pepper (red,green or yellow) .
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning (basil,oregono,parsley) .
  • 2 lbs lean beef .
  • 1 1/2 c breadcrumbs (more if needed) .
  • 1 tbsp mustard (any kind you like) .
  • 1 tbsp horseradish .
  • 3 tsps salt .
  • 1 lb turkey sausage .
  • 1/4 c salsa (optional) .
  • 1/4 c ketchup

Directions
  • Step #1 in a mixer or food processor/blender, puree:.
  • Step #2 eggs,garlic,italian seasoning,1 onion,salt, pepper.
  • Step #3 In a large-ish mixing bowl,sliced bell pepper,mustard,horseradish,katchup, sausage,rest of onion, using gloves, mix beef,cheese mix.
  • Step #4 mix in peree mixture to meat mixture using hands(gloves).
  • Step #5 mix in bread crumbs.
  • Step #6 press into an 8-in x 8-in pan(or larger if you like a thinner loaf).
  • Step #7 Bake @ 350 degrees for 1 hr.
  • Step #8 spread "my moms piquant sause" on top of loaf; bake for 15 mins longer until no pink in the middle.
  • Step #9 should be cooked to a minimum of 160 degrees.
