Double Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 c semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 1 c peanut butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine flour, sugar, soda & salt.
  • Step #2 Cut in shortening & peanut butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • Step #3 Blend in syrup & milk.
  • Step #4 Shape in roll 2 inches in diameter; chill.
  • Step #5 Slice 1/8 to 1/4 inches thick.
  • Step #6 Place 1/2 the slices on ungreased cookie sheet; spread each with 1/2 tsp peanut butter.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top chocolate chips on top of the peanut butter.
  • Step #8 Cover with remaining cookie slices; seal edges with a fork.
  • Step #9 Cover with remaining cookie slices; seal edges with a fork.
  • Step #10 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 12 mins, or until browned.
