Step #1 Combine cream, gelatin, sugar, milk, & vanilla bean In a large-ish sauce pan.
Step #2 Heat mixture until sugar & gelatin are dissolved.
Step #3 Add vanilla, peppermint extract, & food coloring.
Step #4 Chill mixture 24 hrs, or more.
Step #5 Remove vanilla bean.
Step #6 Pour mixture into a 1 gallon size ice cream maker.
Step #7 Freeze ice cream until almost frozen.
Step #8 Add sliced up Hershey bars.
Step #9 Continue freezing.
