Step #1 Grind the nuts, raisins, currants & citron.
Step #2 Boil the molasses & the sugar.
Step #3 Let cool then add the ground mixture, nutmeg, salt, anise oil, cinnamon, cloves, the eggs, sour milk & baking soda.
Step #4 Add enough flour to stiffen dough.
Step #5 Refrigerate dough for several days.
Step #6 When ready to bake preheat your trusty oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step #7 Dough may be rolled out to 1/4 inch thick & cut with cookie cutters or you can shape dough into logs & slice.
Step #8 Place cookies on greased cookie sheets & bake for 10 to 12 mins.
