Apple Cinnamon Pancake Syrup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp cinnamon .
  • 2 tbsps butter .
  • 1 c sugar .
  • 1/2 c apple jelly .
  • 1 c water

Directions
  • Step #1 Create a simple syrup by adding water & sugar to a sauce pan & bring it to a boil, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #2 Boil to thicken (I reduced by 1/3) then reduce heat a bit & stir in the apple jelly until dissolved.
  • Step #3 Add cinnamon, stir this to dissolve.
  • Step #4 Turn off the burner.
  • Step #5 Add butter & stir it in well after it melts.
  • Step #6 Serve warm over pancakes, waffles or french toast.
  • Step #7 The extra syrup keeps nicely for a couple of weeks sealed well in the fridge.
  • Step #8 I always warm it up again before using it.
