Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter .
  • 1 c light brown sugar, firmly packed .
  • 1 c pecans, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp light corn syrup .
  • 5 tbsps water .
  • 1 c sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Line counter top this with aluminum foil wrap sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Step #2 Combine sugars, syrup, butter & 5 tbs water in a saucepan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 Bring to a boil.
  • Step #4 Add the pecans & continue cooking until the mixture reaches the soft ball stage (238 degrees F).
  • Step #5 Remove from the heat & stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until the candy begins to turn opaque.
  • Step #6 Quickly drop by spoonfuls onto foil wrap & allow to harden.
  • Step #7 Store pralines in an air tight tin.
