Sauteed Apples Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 tbsps butter .
  • 1 tsp cinnamon .
  • 1 c brown sugar, packed .
  • 4 granny smith apples, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large skillet on medium-high heat, melt butter (If your butter browns a bit, don't get excited! This gives an even better flavor.
  • Step #2 Add sliced, unpeeled apples, cover, & saute, stirring frequently.
  • Step #3 In a bowl, mix brown sugar & cinnamon.
  • Step #4 (Sometimes, I also throw in 1/2 c sliced pecans, for a taste difference, at this point).
  • Step #5 When apples are just barely starting to get tender, stir in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  • Step #6 Continue cooking until sugar has dissolved into syrup.
  • Step #7 Serve with hot buttered biscuits & sausage on the side; or alongside ham or pork.
