Chicken Wings Fricassee Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 c water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsps vegetable oil
  • 3/4 tsp pepper, divided
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1/3 c all-purpose flour
  • Hot cooked rice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 12 chicken wings

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tips.
  • Step #2 In a resealable plastic bag or shallow bowl, mix flour, seasoned salt & 1/2 tsp pepper.
  • Step #3 Add wings; toss to coat evenly.
  • Step #4 In a large skillet, brown wings on all sides in oil.
  • Step #5 Add onions & garlic; cook this until tender.
  • Step #6 Stir in water, salt & remaining pepper; mix well.
  • Step #7 Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
  • Step #8 Simmer, uncovered, for 30-35 mins or until chicken juices run clear.
  • Step #9 Serve over rice.
