Step #1 Place a layer of rock salt in the bottom of your baking pan to nestle the clams securely & to prevent the juice from running out when the clams open.
Step #2 Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Step #3 Scrub the clams well & place this in prepared pan.
Step #4 Place in the oven until the clams begin to open.
Step #5 Take out of the oven, remove this from the shells, reserving the juice.
Step #6 Reduce the oven heat to 350°F.
Step #7 Chop the clam meat well & mix with the clam juice, parsley, bacon, mushrooms, salt & pepper.
Step #8 Add enough bread crumbs to thicken, so that the mixture will hold it's shape in the shells.
Step #9 Mix thoroughly & fill the clam shells.
Step #10 Sprinkle top with bread crumbs & place a small piece of butter on each stuffed shell.
