Ginger Ale Glazed Ham Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 tbsps Dijon mustard .
  • 2 tbsps honey .
  • 2 c ginger ale .
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper .
  • 1 (3-4 lb) boneless ham, fully cooked .
  • 1 c white wine .
  • 2 tbsps molasses

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 300F degrees F.
  • Step #2 Place ham on a rack in a roasting pan.
  • Step #3 In a saucepan mix wine, mustard, molasses, & cayenne pepper.
  • Step #4 Bring to simmering.
  • Step #5 Simmer, uncovered for 6 mins.
  • Step #6 Stir in ginger ale.
  • Step #7 Pour glaze over ham.
  • Step #8 Bake 1 hr (I usually cover loosely with foil wrap, afraid of drying it out).
  • Step #9 Increase oven temperature to 325F degrees F.
  • Step #10 Bake 1 hr more (remove foil wrap covering), basting ham every 15 mins.
  • Step #11 Brush ham with honey.
  • Step #12 Bake 15 mins more.
  • Step #13 Slice & serve.
