Linda's Spider Web Platter Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (8 oz) package four cheese Mexican mix cheese .
  • 1 lb lean hamburger .
  • 1 (1/4 oz) packet taco seasoning mix .
  • tortilla chips or Frito Scoops .
  • 4 oz medium hot chunky salsa .
  • 1 (10 oz) can Ro-tel green chilies .
  • 2 (14 oz) cans refried beans .
  • 4 oz sour cream

Directions
  • Step #1 On a lg.
  • Step #2 round or oval dish spread out refried beans.
  • Step #3 Fry hamburger until no longer pink, & drain grease.
  • Step #4 Add Ro-tel tomatoes & let liquid boil out.
  • Step #5 Mixing a few times so the burger doesn't stick.
  • Step #6 When most of the juice is evaporated put the meat mixture over the refried bean layer.
  • Step #7 Spoon on salsa & spread across meat mixture.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top with cheese.
  • Step #9 Bake in 350 oven for 15-20 mins, or until cheese is melted.
  • Step #10 In the meantime, spoon the sour cream into a small Zip-Lock bag, & cut the corner.
  • Step #11 Pipe a large dot in the middle of the cheese, then make a line about 1" from the circle all the way around.
  • Step #12 Make another circle 1" from previous circle all the way around, & continue making lines until you are at the edge of the mixture.
  • Step #13 Drag a tooth pick through the sour cream to make a web design OR you can draw horizontal lines with the sour cream a few inches apart, all the way around to make a spider web, so you can add more sour cream to the top.
  • Step #14 I usually do it this way.
  • Step #15 I decorated the top this with a little spider for added affect.
  • Step #16 Use tortilla chips to scoop up dip.
