Easy Steak Provencale Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c black olives .
  • 1 c tomatoes (sliced) .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 4 boneless beef top loin steaks .
  • 1 tbsp capers in brine .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder .
  • 1 c pimento stuffed olives .
  • 1 c red wine .
  • 3 garlic cloves (smashed) .
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Pour wine into a large plastic zip-top bag & add smashed garlic cloves.
  • Step #2 Place steaks into bag, seal & "knead" bag to cover steaks all over in wine.
  • Step #3 Place in fridge to marinate (at least one hr).
  • Step #4 Meanwhile, coarsely chop black & green olives.
  • Step #5 Place olives in a medium-sized bowl; stir in the sliced tomato & capers with liquid.
  • Step #6 Spice up with black pepper to taste.
  • Step #7 Place olive mixture in fridge until needed.
  • Step #8 When ready to cook, season steaks with the salt, pepper & garlic powder.
  • Step #9 Heat oil over med-heat/flame In a large-ish skillet.
  • Step #10 Add steaks & cook 2-5 mins per side for desired doneness (rare to medium).
  • Step #11 Place steaks on a serving platter & top each with equal portions of the olive mixture.
