Grandma's Meat Balls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced .
  • 1/2 tsp pepper .
  • 2-2 1/2 lbs ground beef .
  • 1 1/2 c kraft Minute Rice .
  • 46 oz tomato juice

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large bowl mix together the ground beef, rice, bell pepper, salt & pepper.
  • Step #2 Form 6 equally sized meat balls.
  • Step #3 They will seem large.
  • Step #4 Place in a 3-4qt pot.
  • Step #5 Cover up completely with tomato juice.
  • Step #6 Bring to a boil, cover & reduce to simmer.
  • Step #7 Simmer for 1 hr.
  • Step #8 Serve with mashed potatoes & garlic bread sticks.
  • Step #9 Use the tomato juice as gravy.
  • Step #10 You may add more juice as this will reduce as it cooks.
