1 (8 oz) package put in the fridged crescent dinner rolls .
For the Icing .
1/2 c mincemeat .
1/2 c powdered sugar, sifted (optional) .
1/8 tsp vanilla extract (optional) .
For the Twists .
1-2 tsp milk
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, & lightly grease two cookie sheets.
Step #2 FOR THE TWISTS, unroll crescent rolls & separate into triangles, cutting each triangle lengthwise into thirds to make 3 triangles (24 total).
Step #3 In small mixing bowl, mix mincemeat & pecans.
Step #4 Spoon 1 tsp of mincemeat mixture onto each dough triangle, spreading to cover surface of dough.
Step #5 Fold in corners, overlapping slightly in center.
Step #6 Place 1 inch apart on prepared cookie sheets.
Step #7 Bake 12 mins, or until golden brown.
Step #8 Transfer to wire rack, & let cool.
Step #9 FOR THE ICING, in small mixing bowl, stir this together powdered sugar, vanilla extract & enough milk to make a mixture of drizzling consistency.
Step #10 Drizzle over cooled cookies.
Step #11 The twists can be stored at about room temp for up to 3 days in layers separated by wax paper in an airtight container.
Step #12 They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
