Lighter Death By Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c egg whites .
  • 2 tsps baking soda .
  • 3 c fat-free cool whip .
  • 3 Skor candy bars .
  • 2/3 c light margarine .
  • Cake .
  • 1/2 c cold water .
  • 1/2 c cocoa .
  • 1 1/2 c sugar .
  • 3/4 c low-fat buttermilk .
  • 2 1/2 c whole wheat flour .
  • 1/3 c Kahlua .
  • 2 (4 oz) packages chocolate mousse mix .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • Layers

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Step #2 Mix together water, cocoa & baking soda.
  • Step #3 Set aside.
  • Step #4 Cream together margarine & sugar.
  • Step #5 Beat in egg whitess.
  • Step #6 Add flour, milk, & cocoa mixture.
  • Step #7 Add vanilla & mix well.
  • Step #8 Bake in greased & floured 9x13” cake pan 30 min With fork, puncture top of baked cake & drizzle with kahlua.
  • Step #9 Cover up with saran wrap & rest overnight.
  • Step #10 Prepare mousse according to package directions.
  • Step #11 Crumble cake into large pieces.
  • Step #12 Finely chop Skor bars.
  • Step #13 In a large glass trifle dish, cool whip, mousse, layer cake, & Skor bars.
  • Step #14 Repeat.
  • Step #15 Refrigerate (best served a day or two after making).
