Chicken Marsala Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil .
  • 1/4 c flour .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/2 tsp garlic, minced .
  • 1/3 c marsala wine .
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can whole tomatoes, cut up .
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil .
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce .
  • 8 oz cooked linguine .
  • 4 thawed boneless skinless chicken breasts .
  • 2 c mushrooms, sliced .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 In plastic bag, mix flour, salt & pepper.
  • Step #2 Add chicken; shake to coat.
  • Step #3 Heat oil over med-heat/flame & add chicken.
  • Step #4 Cook until no longer pink in center.
  • Step #5 Remove & set chicken aside.
  • Step #6 In the same skillet add garlic & muchrooms; cook 2-3 mins.
  • Step #7 Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, wine & basil.
  • Step #8 Reduce heat to low & let simmer for 5 mins.
  • Step #9 Return chicken to skillet & let simmer for an extra 5 mins.
  • Step #10 Serve over hot linguine.
