Parisienne Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 oz gruyere or jarlsberg cheese (I used Jarlsberg, grated) .
  • 1/2 pint cream .
  • 1 onion, peeled & cut in to wedges (about 12-14) .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 3 1/2 lbs potatoes

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 380°F.
  • Step #2 Peel the potatoes & cut in to 1 inch cubes.
  • Step #3 Put the potatoes & onion wedges into a pan, cover with cold salted water & boil for about 10 mins, or until just cooked.
  • Step #4 Drain & pour in to a shallow buttered ovenproof dish, season this with salt & pepper & pour over the cream.
  • Step #5 Sprinkle top with the cheese & cook for 15-20 mins until golden & bubbling.
