Step #1 1).
Step #2 melt butter, sliced chocolate.
Step #3 water & vanilla in bowl over hot water or in microwave.
Step #4 in another bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until pale in colour & the whisk leaves a trail.
Step #5 add melted chocolate mixture & stir well.
Step #6 sieve the flour & salf & add to mixture.
Step #7 2).
Step #8 butter & lightly dust with flour a 10inch tin.
Step #9 pour mixture & bake 25mins at 150 degrees Celsius.
Step #10 3).
Step #11 sauce: bring cream & milk to the boil & pour in the choc buttons.
Step #12 stir until chocolate has dissolved.
Step #13 4).
Step #14 to serve, pour the warm chocolate sauce over the cake & serve this with dusted icing sugar & a dollop of creme fraiche.
