Rich 'n' Satisfying Dried Mushroom Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c warm water .
  • 2 c half-and-half cream .
  • 1 dash black pepper .
  • 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce .
  • 2 tbsps cornstarch .
  • 1 1/2 c dried mushrooms .
  • 1/2 c half-and-half cream .
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes

Directions
  • Step #1 Cover up dried mushrooms with warm water.
  • Step #2 Add chicken bouillon cubes.
  • Step #3 Cover up.
  • Step #4 Let stand 20 mins.
  • Step #5 Add Half-and-Half, worcestershire sauce, & black pepper.
  • Step #6 Stir well.
  • Step #7 Cook, stirring every once in awhile, over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #8 In a small bowl, dissolve 2 Tbs.
  • Step #9 cornstarch in 1/2 c cold Half-and-Half.
  • Step #10 Heat soup to boiling, add cornstarch mixture to soup, but when bubbles start to form around the edges of the pan, stirring to mix well.
  • Step #11 Do not allow to boil! Turn heat down to Low.
  • Step #12 Simmer, stirring, till soup thickens.
  • Step #13 Serve hot.
