Hot Fudge Monday Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tsps baking powder .
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil .
  • 1 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 3/4 c boiling water .
  • 1 c unpacked brown sugar .
  • 1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder .
  • 3/4 c unpacked brown sugar .
  • 1 1/2 tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder .
  • 1/2 c skim milk .
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 To prepare cake batter, cocoa, brown sugar, mix flour, baking powder & salt in a medium bowl.
  • Step #3 Set aside.
  • Step #4 In a small bowl, whisk together milk & oil.
  • Step #5 Add milk mixture to flour mixture.
  • Step #6 Using a wooden spoon, stir vigorously until well mixed (you may also use an electric mixer on lowish speed).
  • Step #7 Pour batter over the bottom of an ungreased 8 x 8 inch baking pan.
  • Step #8 Spread evenly.
  • Step #9 In a small bowl, mix together second amount of brown sugar & second amount of cocoa.
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top mixture evenly over batter.
  • Step #11 Pour boiling water over top.
  • Step #12 DO NOT STIR! Bake for 40-45 mins, until top of cake feels dry to touch.
  • Step #13 Remove from oven & let this stand 5 mins before serving.
  • Step #14 Cut into 6 pieces.
  • Step #15 Spoon sauce from bottom of pan over individual servings of cake.
