Mincemeat Molded Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 oz unflavored gelatin .
  • 1 (20 1/2 oz) jar mincemeat (brandied or regular) .
  • 1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained .
  • 1 (6 oz) box cherry gelatin .
  • 1/4 c cold water .
  • 1 c pecans, sliced .
  • 1 red apple, unpeeled, cored, finely sliced .
  • 3 1/2 c boiling water

Directions
  • Step #1 Lightly oil 8-c mold or pan of choice.
  • Step #2 Soften unflavored gelatine in cold water, then set aside.
  • Step #3 Dissolve cherry flavored gelatin in boiling water.
  • Step #4 Add unflavored gelatine mixture & stir until all is dissolved.
  • Step #5 Chill until the gelatin is of the consistency of unbeaten egg white.
  • Step #6 Stir in mincemeat, pineapple, apple & nuts.
  • Step #7 Pour into prepared mold or pan, then chill until firm.
