Crispy French Fries Recipe

Ingredients
  • oil (for frying) .
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch .
  • 1/2 c breadcrumbs .
  • 1 potato, washed .
  • 1/2 c milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut potato into french fry shapes.
  • Step #2 Heat oil to 325°F.
  • Step #3 Drop spuds into oil.
  • Step #4 Cook them in the oil for about 5 mins, until they are semi-cooked & kind of floppy looking.
  • Step #5 Remove from oil, drain & cool.
  • Step #6 When spuds have cooled, re-heat oil to 375°F.
  • Step #7 Toss milk & cornstarch into a plastic bag.
  • Step #8 Put bread crumbs into another bag.
  • Step #9 Take semi-fried spuds & put them into the milk bag.
  • Step #10 Remove from milk bag then place this into the bead crumb bag, shaking to coat.
  • Step #11 Refry for about 2 or 3 mins.
  • Step #12 Place on wire rack to drain.
