Death By Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 c butter, softened
  • 1/2 c water
  • confectioners' sugar for dusting
  • 2 c white sugar
  • 5/8 c unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  •  
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 2 c semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Grease & flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
  • Step #3 Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda & cocoa.
  • Step #4 Set aside.
  • Step #5 In a large bowl, cream together the butter & sugar until light & fluffy.
  • Step #6 Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the the sour cream, water & vanilla.
  • Step #7 Beat in the flour mixture just until incorporated.
  • Step #8 Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Step #9 Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Step #10 Bake in the preheated oven for 60 mins, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Step #11 Let cool in pan for 10 mins, then turn out onto a wire rack & cool completely.
  • Step #12 When cake is cool, sift confectioners' sugar over the top.
