Cottage Cheese Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c milk
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (12 fluid oz) can evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 1 (8 oz) container cottage cheese

Directions
  • Step #1 In large bowl mix flour, pinch of salt & egg.
  • Step #2 Add milk a little at a time until dough is elastic.
  • Step #3 Roll out dough on floured surface & cut into three-inch circles.
  • Step #4 Place a tsp of cottage cheese on one circle, fold over & seal the edges by pressing together firmly.
  • Step #5 Repeat with remaining circles.
  • Step #6 Melt butter in large skillet over low heat/flame.
  • Step #7 Fry dumplings in skillet until browned.
  • Step #8 Add evaporated milk, salt & pepper to taste, & let simmer for one hr.
