Sour Cream Peach Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c sugar .
  • 1 pastry dough, for a 1-crust pie your choice .
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla .
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg .
  • 1/2 c light brown sugar, firmly packed .
  • Streusel Topping .
  • Filling .
  • 3 tbsps flour .
  • 1 c sour cream .
  • 5-6 ripe peaches, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp dark rum (I use Myers) .
  • 1/4 c butter, melted .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1/3 c flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Step #2 Fit the pastry into a 9-inch pie pan.
  • Step #3 Make sure the rim is high.
  • Step #4 Mix the filling ingredients except for the peaches.
  • Step #5 Arrange the peach slices evenly in the pie shell, then pour filling mixture over peaches.
  • Step #6 Bake 25 mins.
  • Step #7 While filling is baking, mix streusel ingredients together until mixd.
  • Step #8 After 25 mins of baking, remove pie from oven & crumble topping over the top.
  • Step #9 Return to oven.
  • Step #10 Bake another 20 mins, or until filling seems mostly set & the topping is lightly browned.
  • Step #11 Cool, then chill & serve.
