Step #1 Put chicken, jam, salsa, & seasoning in crockpot & cook on low for 5 hrs (my chicken was not completely thawed at this point).
Step #2 Put rice in crockpot & swirl & stir as best you can to mix the sauce & rice together around the chicken pieces (which should be almost falling apart at this point).
Step #3 Cook for 30 more mins.
Step #4 This amount of liquid made perfect rice.
Step #5 There was just enough liquid unabsorbed by the rice to make the dish moist.
Step #6 Note: next time I wll probably use the whole 8 oz.
Step #7 of jam called for in the original recipe, & will bag & freeze everything (except the rice) together raw.
