Fish Curry With Tomatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • lemon juice .
  • 1/2 c water .
  • 1 tsp turmeric, ground .
  • 2 tbsps ghee or oil .
  • 1 large tomato, sliced .
  • 500 g fish steaks, firm i.e. Spanish mackerel .
  • 1/4 tsp chili (or to taste) .
  • 1 tsp cumin, ground .
  • 1 onion, Finely sliced .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2 tbsps fresh coriander, sliced .
  • 1 1/2 tsps garam masala .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Directions
  • Step #1 Wash, skin & cut fish into large dice.
  • Step #2 Heat oil in medium saucepan on low heat.
  • Step #3 Fry the onion, garlic & coriander.
  • Step #4 stirring until soft.
  • Step #5 Add the cumin, turmeric & chili, stir for a min or two to release flavor.
  • Step #6 Add the water, tomatoes & Garam Masala & let simmer until tomatoes are pulpy, salt, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #7 Add lemon juice & place the fish into the saucepan & let simmer carefully for 5-6 mins.
  • Step #8 N.

  • Step #10 Make double the sauce & freeze so next time all you have to do is add the fish.
