Low Fat Oat Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps dark molasses .
  • 2 tbsps gluten .
  • 1/4 oz yeast .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 1 1/4 c warm water .
  • 2 c flour .
  • 2 tbsps wheat germ .
  • 2 tbsps oil .
  • 2 tbsps honey .
  • 2 c oats (I like the standard oat)

Directions
  • Step #1 Add all ingredients to bread maker.
  • Step #2 Let the bread maker do the hard work but remove the dough before the heating cycle starts.
  • Step #3 Put the dough in a floured bowl & let rise once to about double the size & punch down.
  • Step #4 Put dough in bread pan & let it rise again in a warm place.
  • Step #5 (I let mine rise in the microwave).
  • Step #6 When it rises above the sides of the pan, put in preheated conventional oven for 30 mins at 350 degrees.
  • Step #7 Remove from the pan within 5 mins after it comes out of the oven.
