No Knead Apple Raisin Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 3/4 c sugar .
  • 2 tbsps butter .
  • 3/4 c warm water .
  • 1 tsp cinnamon .
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced .
  • 1 (1/4 oz) package active dry yeast .
  • 1/2 c raisins .
  • 2 1/4 c flour .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1/4 c shortening

Directions
  • Step #1 Melt butter in a 9x9x2 baking pan.
  • Step #2 Mix 1/2 c sugar & 1 tsp cinnamon then sprinkle it over the butter.
  • Step #3 Take your apple slices & lay them in rows with the peel side showing & slightly overlapping the bottom of the last row.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top your raisins over the apple slices.
  • Step #5 Stir together yeast & warm water In a large-ish bowl.
  • Step #6 Add in the rest of your sugar, salt & 1 c flour.
  • Step #7 Beat mixture until smooth (about 2 mins).
  • Step #8 Add your egg, shortening & the rest of your flour & beat until smooth.
  • Step #9 Drop batter by small spoonfuls over apples & raisins (careful not to mess up the apples) into your pan.
  • Step #10 Let it rise in a warm place until it doubles (about 50 mins).
  • Step #11 Heat oven to 375 & bake for 30 to 35 mins.
  • Step #12 When you take it out remove it as soon as possible from the pan by turning it upside down onto your serving plate.
