Congealed Chicken Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (4 lb) whole chicken
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 c mayonnaise
  • 2 (.25 oz) envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1/2 c sliced sweet pickle

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large pot, boil chicken until done, drain & cool.
  • Step #2 Remove skin & bones & chop meat into small pieces.
  • Step #3 In a bowl, mix chicken, pickles & mayonnaise.
  • Step #4 In a saucepan, heat soup & gelatin until gelatin dissolves.
  • Step #5 Remove from heat & add cream cheese.
  • Step #6 Stir until smooth.
  • Step #7 Add chicken, pickles & mayonnaise to cream cheese mixture & mix until smooth.
  • Step #8 Pour into a greased mold & chill until firm.
