Flan (custard) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten .
  • nutmeg .
  • 1 1/2 c skim milk .
  • 1 (14 oz) can fat-free sweetened condensed milk .
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla

Directions
  • Step #1 Prehead oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 In a bowl, mix eggs, salt & sweetened condensed milk.
  • Step #3 Add skim milk slowly, stirring constantly.
  • Step #4 Add vanilla & mix well.
  • Step #5 Pour custard into 6 custard dishes.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top each with nutmeg.
  • Step #7 Place custard c in baking pan, add hot water to the pan 2/3 of the way up the sides of the custard c.
  • Step #8 Bake for 30-35 mins.
  • Step #9 To test for doneness, knife should come out clean when inserted into the center.
  • Step #10 Refrigerate for several hrs.
  • Step #11 The longer it is chilled, the firmer it becomes.
  • Step #12 To serve, top this with Flan Sauce.
