Tuong Goi Cuon [vietnamese Bean Dipping Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps sugar, omit with Hoisin .
  • 1/2 c water .
  • 2 tbsps rice vinegar .
  • 1/3 c coconut milk .
  • 3 tbsps sliced yellow onions .
  • 1 tbsp sliced roasted peanuts .
  • 1 tbsp ground chili paste, to taste .
  • 1/4 c whole fermented soybeans, see note

Directions
  • Step #1 Place the first six ingredients into a blnder & process until smooth.
  • Step #2 Transfer to a pan & bring to boil over moderate heat.
  • Step #3 Reduce heat when it boils & let simmer until thick enough to coat a spoon about 5 mins.
  • Step #4 If too thick add a bit of water.
  • Step #5 Set aside to cool.
  • Step #6 Garnish with the paste & peanutes.
  • Step #7 Also you can use garlic, chilies & ginger.
  • Step #8 Keeps 2 weeks.
  • Step #9 Note if you can't find the soybeans omit it & use 1/3 c hoisin sauce letting out the sugar.
