Chocolate Caramel Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps 2% low-fat milk .
  • 8 oz low-fat cream cheese, softened .
  • 1 c quick-cooking oatmeal .
  • 12 oz milk chocolate chips .
  • 1/2 c low-sugar peanut butter .
  • 1 (18 oz) package white cake mix .
  • 1/4 c egg substitute or 1 egg .
  • 2 c fat free caramel apple dip (16 oz caramel ice cream topping would probably work also)

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Step #2 Coat a 9-inch by 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray (or line with sprayed foil wrap to help get them out of the pan after baking & make clean-up easier).
  • Step #3 Combine cake mix & oatmeal.
  • Step #4 Cut in peanut butter until mixture looks like fine crumbs.
  • Step #5 Beat egg sub with milk & add to crumb mixture, stirring until well mixed.
  • Step #6 Reserving 3/4 c of mixture, press remainder into bottom of pan.
  • Step #7 Beat cream cheese until smooth.
  • Step #8 Add caramel apple dip & beat until well mixed.
  • Step #9 Spread over crust.
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top with chocolate chips & reserved crumbs.
  • Step #11 Bake for 30 mins.
  • Step #12 Let cool completely; cut into bars.
