Rigatoni Alla Buttera Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes .
  • 1 lb hot Italian sausage .
  • 1/4 lb grated parmesan cheese (about 2 c) .
  • 1 lb sweet Italian sausage .
  • 3/4 c heavy cream .
  • 1 lb dried rigatoni pasta .
  • 1 c frozen green peas, thawed

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel the casings off the sausages & break the meat into small chunks.
  • Step #2 In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium-low heat, until cooked through; drain off the fat & crumble the sausage into small pieces.
  • Step #3 Add the tomatoes to the skillet with the sausage & mix well.
  • Step #4 Add the cream & cook over med-heat/flame until the sauce begins to thicken.
  • Step #5 Meanwhile, cook the pasta until al dente, drain & add to the sauce.
  • Step #6 Add the peas & grated Parmesan cheese, & mix until the pasta is well coated.
  • Step #7 Serve with extra Parmesan cheese.
