Bronco Berry Sauce (dip) - For Arby's Jalapeno Poppers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps fruit pectin .
  • 2 tsps cornstarch .
  • 1/4 c red bell peppers, finely minced .
  • 1/2 tsp canned jalapeno peppers, finely minced .
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper .
  • 1/4 c corn syrup .
  • 50 drops red food coloring or 1/4 tsp red food coloring .
  • 1/8 tsp onion powder .
  • 1/3 c sugar .
  • 3/4 c water .
  • 1 dash paprika .
  • 1 tsp vinegar .
  • 1 dash garlic powder

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine all the ingredients except the Bell & minced jalapeno peppers in a small saucepan; Whisk well.
  • Step #2 Set saucepan over medium / high heat, uncovered; Add peppers & bring mixture to a full boil, stirring often.
  • Step #3 Reduce heat & let simmer sauce for 5 to 7 mins, or until thick.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat & let sauce sit for about 10 mins; Stir & cover.
  • Step #5 Use sauce when it reaches room temperature or cover & chill until needed.
