Baked Pork Chops With Cinnamon Apples Recipe

Ingredients
  • sea salt & pepper .
  • 1 c water .
  • 4-6 center cut pork boneless pork chops .
  • 1 tbsp flour .
  • 1/3 c brown sugar .
  • 1 tsp nutmeg .
  • 3 granny smith apples, peeled, cored & sliced .
  • 1 tsp cinnamon .
  • olive oil .
  • 1 tsp thyme

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 400.
  • Step #2 Lay pork chops on a baking sheet, then thyme, lightly coat with olive oil, & sea salt & pepper to your liking.
  • Step #3 Rub the seasonings into the meat & set aside.
  • Step #4 In a sauce pan, cinnamon, mix the brown sugar, nutmeg, water & apples.
  • Step #5 Bring to a boil, & then simmer for 20 mins or until apples are tender.
  • Step #6 Combine the flour with a tbsp of cold water to dissolve.
  • Step #7 Add flour mixture to the apples & return to a boil for 5 mins or until sauce begins to thicken.
  • Step #8 If the mixture becomes too thick, you can add more water, if it's too thin, & likewise, you can add more flour-water.
  • Step #9 Place porkchops in the preheated oven & bake for 20 mins.
  • Step #10 Top the chops with the apples & return to baking for another 10 mins.
  • Step #11 This is great with steamed green beans, & is a healthy alternative to other apple pork dishes.
