Step #1 For the meatballs; In a large-ish bowl mix all ingredients together using clean hands (adding in a small amount more breadcrumbs only if needed to hold the mixture together).
Step #2 Shape into 15 meatballs then place on a baking sheet.
Step #3 Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 mins or until the meatballs are completely cooked through.
Step #4 Meanwhile using a serrated knife slice the baguette in half lenghwise & remove some of the bread from the inside to make a "pocket" to hold the meatballs inches.
Step #5 In a small bowl mix the soft butter with garlic powder & 1/4 tsp salt, spread over the inside slices of both breads, then sprinkle with black pepper to taste.
Step #6 Place the bread inside the oven the last 4-5 mins of the meatball baking time & bake this until the bread is lightly toasted.
Step #7 In a medium saucepan warm the pasta sauce over med-heat/flame.
Step #8 When the meatballs are cooked add them into the sauce & toss to coat.
Step #9 Spoon the sauce & meatballs over one slice of toasted baguette bread, then top this with mozzarella cheese slices.
Step #10 Top with the other half of baguette slice.
