Step #1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step #2 Grease & flour a 9x13 inch pan.
Step #3 In a large bowl, cocoa, baking powder, mix flour, sugar, soda & salt.
Step #4 Add eggs, milk, coffee, oil & vanilla.
Step #5 Beat until smooth (batter will be thin).
Step #6 Fold in cherries & chocolate chips.
Step #7 Pour batter into 9x13 inch pan.
Step #8 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 mins or until toothpick inserted into middle comes out clean.
Step #9 It's best to leave it in the pan, because the chips & the cherries sort of sink to the bottom & solidify & will stick big time! Frost with white buttercream.
Step #10 For the frosting: In a large bowl, mix butter, confectioners sugar, 1/2 tsp salt & vanilla.
Step #11 Cream with an electric mixer.
Step #12 Add milk by the tbsp until frosting is smooth.
