Tofu Sandwich On Whole Wheat Recipe

Ingredients
  • tomatoes .
  • lettuce .
  • 2 whole grain buns (or sandwich bread, whichever you prefer) .
  • 1 lb extra firm tofu .
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste) .
  • tofu mayonnaise .
  • 1/8 tsp pepper .
  • mixed sprouts .
  • 1 tsp garlic powder .
  • 1 tsp onion powder .
  • 1 dash paprika, if you like

Directions
  • Step #1 After draining the tofu, cut into four large pieces.
  • Step #2 Pat off any excess liquid.
  • Step #3 Mix all spices together & sprinkle it over each piece of tofu.
  • Step #4 In skillet, brown tofu on either side for 3-4 mins; or broil in oven on each side until browned.
  • Step #5 Toast whole wheat buns; spread with tofu maynonnaise.
  • Step #6 Add lettuce, sliced tomato & sprouts on top of tofu.
