Ingredients
1 (10.5 oz) can chicken broth
1 (4 lb) chicken, cut into pieces
1/2 tsp dried basil
garlic powder to taste
1/2 tsp dried oregano
2 tbsps olive oil
1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 c dry white wine
1 large onion, sliced
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp dried rosemary
Directions
Step #1 Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over med-heat/flame.
Step #2 Sprinkle top chicken with garlic powder, & brown on both sides.
Step #3 Remove chicken to paper towels.
Step #4 Spoon off chicken fat, & return pan to stove.
Step #5 Stir in mushrooms & onions; cook, stirring every once in awhile, until onions are soft.
Step #6 Remove to a medium bowl.
Step #7 In a separate bowl, oregano, rosemary, mix together basil, & thyme.
Step #8 Spice up with garlic salt, pepper, & poultry seasoning.
Step #9 Stir in wine, & add to onion & mushrooms.
Step #10 Return chicken to Dutch oven.
Step #11 Pour mushroom mixture & broth over chicken; cover, & cook over low heat/flame until meat begins to fall off the bone, about 1 1/2 hrs.
