Miso-glazed Sea Bass Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c miso (fermented soybean paste) .
  • 2 tbsps soy sauce .
  • 2 tbsps fresh basil, sliced .
  • 3 tbsps brown sugar, packed .
  • 1/3 c sake (Japanese rice wine) .
  • 1/3 c mirin (sweet Japanese rice wine) .
  • 2 tbsps green onions, sliced .
  • 4-6 oz sea bass fillets (may substitue salmon or tuna)

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix sake, miso, mirin, brown sugar & soy sauce in a shallow baking dish.
  • Step #2 Add fish; turn to coat with marinade.
  • Step #3 Cover up & put in the fridge at least 2 hrs & up to 6 hrs.
  • Step #4 Preheat broiler.
  • Step #5 Place fish on rimmed baking sheet.
  • Step #6 With broiler door slightly open, broil fish 6 inches from heat source until just opaque in center, about 6 mins.
  • Step #7 Transfer to individual dinner plates.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top with green onions & basil; serve.
