Granola Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c almonds .
  • 2 tsps vanilla .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 3 c rolled oats (I use multi-grain) .
  • 1/4 c dates .
  • 1/2 c pecans .
  • 1/2-2 c water .
  • 1/8 c maple syrup .
  • 3 tsps cinnamon

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix all ingredients.
  • Step #2 For granola with chunks, Slowly stir in the pot over low-medium heat until ingredients become sticky & form clumps (it will be somewhat hard to stir).
  • Step #3 If you need to add more water, do so.
  • Step #4 Dump mixture onto 2 large jelly-roll pans, spread evenly.
  • Step #5 Bake at 300F F for 1 - 1 1/2 hrs (less time is needed for the granola with no chunks), stirring every 15-20 mins.
  • Step #6 Granola will be a golden brown when it is ready.
  • Step #7 Cool granola by spreading it out on flattened paper grocery bags.
  • Step #8 *you may want to not add the dates until the end*.
