Crock Pot Pepper Steak Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp white sugar .
  • 2 lbs beef sirloin, cut into 2 inch strips .
  • 1 beef bouillon cube .
  • 1/2 c onions, sliced .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 3 tbsps soy sauce .
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch .
  • garlic powder (to taste) .
  • 1/4 c hot water .
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid .
  • 3 tbsps vegetable oil .
  • 2 large green bell peppers, roughly sliced .
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Directions
  • Step #1 Sprinkle top strips of sirloin with garlic powder to taste.
  • Step #2 Heat vegetable oil In a large-ish skillet over med-heat/flame, brown beef strips.
  • Step #3 Transfer beef to crock pot.
  • Step #4 Crush & mix bouillon cube with hot water until dissolved, then stir in the cornstarch until dissolved.
  • Step #5 Pour into the crock pot with meat.
  • Step #6 Add red pepper flakes, green peppers, soy sauce, sugar, stewed tomatoes, onion, & salt.
  • Step #7 Cover up, & cook on High for 3 to 4 hrs, or on low for 6 to 8 hrs.
  • Step #8 ** If you would like to thicken the sauce for gravy, mix 1 TBS cornstarch with some water & stir in theto crock pot 1/2 hr before complete cooking time.
